How long does it take to have a website built?
With me, a one-page website is online in 2 to 3 weeks, a multi-page business website in 4 to 6 weeks, and a custom web app takes anywhere from 6 weeks to several months, depending on its scope. The biggest drain on time is rarely the development itself – it is missing content and rounds of feedback. Here is what a realistic timeline looks like, and how to stick to it.

What does the timeline look like week by week?
| Phase | Starter website | Business website |
|---|---|---|
| Initial call & offer | 1–3 days | 1–3 days |
| Concept & design draft | Week 1 | Weeks 1–2 |
| Development | Weeks 1–2 | Weeks 2–4 |
| Adding content & feedback | Week 2 | Weeks 4–5 |
| Testing, approval & launch | Weeks 2–3 | Weeks 5–6 |
A typical schedule with me, provided the content is ready on time
What really delays website projects?
- Missing copy and images: the most common reason. A finished website without content cannot go live.
- Feedback loops: when replies take days, or several people want different things.
- Missing logins: domain, hosting, Google account – without the access details there is no launch.
- Legal pages: the Impressum (the legal notice that German law requires on business websites) and the privacy policy have to fit your business and be approved.
- Late changes to the scope: "Could we just quickly add a shop?" pushes back any timeline.
How can you speed up your project?
- Before the start, collect all copy, logos, photos and access details in one place.
- Appoint one person who makes decisions and gathers the feedback.
- Give feedback within two working days – I usually reply within 24 hours.
- Start with the core and expand later; a cleanly built one-page website grows with you.
How does a project with me work?
- Free initial call: goals, content, target audience, timeline – in person in Augsburg or by video.
- A fixed-price offer within a few days.
- A design draft for you to review, then development with regular progress updates at a test address.
- Testing on all devices, your approval, then the launch – including redirects from your old website.
- Support after the launch – 3 months included for a business website, 6 months for a web app.
What do clients often ask?
Planning a project?
In a free initial call you get an honest assessment of scope, timeline and a fixed price – by video, or in person in Augsburg and Munich. I usually reply within 24 hours.
